Our History
From
Vision...
Kingdom
Christian Academy was originally a vision of a respected
Christian farmer and former Advisory Council Member, Mr.
Paul Bastian, from northwestern Callaway County.
He envisioned a Christian school located in Callaway
County, Missouri.
To
Action...
From this
vision a number of discussions commenced and meetings
were held with others in the community. An
important and historical meeting for KCA was held in
1994 at Richland Baptist Church in Kingdom City. The
meeting was attended by a variety of Christian families
from various denominational backgrounds. It was
discovered that those in attendance shared a common
vision and a desire to have a Christian education
alternative in the area. Simultaneously, as
continues today, there public concern that the Christian
faith appeared to be under attack in public
institutions, arising from issues such as "prayer in
school", "creation versus evolution", and "Christian
holidays". From the courage and faith of our
founding families, Kingdom Christian Academy was formed.
A Steering Committee played a large role in establishing
our school as it worked to form our Articles of
Incorporation, and our By-Laws.
To
Successful School...
Finally!
On September 5, 1995, Kingdom Christian Academy opened
its doors to an original student body of 42 students
from Kindergarten through the Eighth Grade representing
a variety of Christian denominations and religious
backgrounds. Our classes were held in borrowed
space donated by the First Baptist Church, located at
701 Court Street, in Fulton.
We
Continue to Grow...
In 2007,
Kingdom Christian Academy began to offer preschool
services and fill a need for more preschools in our
community. By adding the preschool to our growth
over the past decade, KCA now has over 110 students
enrolled overall. Some of our parents have also
expressed a desire that KCA add high school services.
This is a direction we will continue to study and
pursue.
Our
Future Is Before Us...
As long
as we continue to experience growth, KCA envisions a
need for more space for classrooms and more flexibility.
Since we operate as "non-profit", our finances for
growth are limited. Therefore, KCA continues to
seek out volunteers and donors to help support our
school. We are currently seeking a donation of
10-15 acres of land, suitable for our future building
needs. We are also seeking financial donations to
assist us with expansion to meet our growth needs.
If you are capable of helping us fulfill this need, or
know someone who can, please direct them to a member of
the School Board, or the Building, Site Selection,
and Building Finance Committee (BSSBFC) by
contacting the main office at 642-2117.

Phil
Morrison
Personal
Testimony
My
firstborn daughter was enrolled in Kingdom Christian
Academy after my experience with a prior attempt to
enroll her elsewhere.
I had
attended an orientation meeting at a different local
school and met some of the other parents, whose children
potentially would be going to school with my child in
Kindergarten.
I remember
a father of a young girl that arrived with a t-shirt
depicting a large marijuana logo on its front. I was concerned
that my child would be going to school with other
children that may have grown up with similar bad influences and
I didn't want those negative influences to affect my
child, especially since the early years of a child's
life are the most important..
I wanted my child to be safe, in a quality school, and
around positive Christian influences.
A friend told me about Kingdom Christian Academy.
I found the tuition rates to be affordable, and a quite
a value compared to other Christian schools in the
surrounding region. So I chose to enroll my child.
Once
enrolling my daughter in Kingdom Christian Academy, I
felt like I became part of "the family" of parents,
teachers, and staff. I have seen with my own eyes
how children can learn quickly when God is part of
the curriculum.
Today, all four of my children are enrolled in Kingdom
Christian Academy.
I am always humbled when I visit one of the
classrooms early in the morning and hear our students
reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States
of America. And I'm humbled again when I hear a
student make a prayer request for the needs of others.
Wow! How I love KCA!.
I
welcome you to join us and become part of the KCA
family and begin enjoying the benefits offered.
