Who We Are
We are a Christ-Centered Private School
Kingdom Christian Academy of Callaway County, Missouri is a private,
non-profit (501-c3), Christian school located in Fulton, Missouri. The
school is an inter-denominational,
evangelical school open to all students whose applications have been processed
and reviewed by the Admissions Committee approved by the school board. An
interview of the parents of prospective students may be required prior to
admission. For details on what steps are required to be admitted to the
school, please refer to the Handbook on the
policy page of this site.
KCA offers affordable tuition with some of the lowest rates available for
comparable schools in the central Missouri region. Our goal is to keep
fees as low as possible, while providing a quality Christian education.
Our staff is dedicated to evangelical outreach in the region, often willing
to work long hours, with below-average pay for the sake of serving the Lord
and helping our students to receive a solid Christian foundation in a
troubled world. Our school board is comprised of solid individuals who
are 100% volunteers. Our board is dedicated to steward leadership and
furthering the growth and outreach of KCA to the glory of God.
Our History
Kingdom Christian Academy's formation was originally inspired by a respected
Christian farmer from northwestern Callaway County and former Advisory Council
Member, Mr. Paul Bastian. He had envisioned a Christian school in Callaway
County, Missouri.
Inspired by Mr. Bastian, a number of meetings were held with others in
the community. An important and historical meeting for KCA was held in 1994
at Richland Baptist Church in Kingdom City. The meeting was attended by a
number of Christian families from various denominational backgrounds. It was
discovered that those in attendance shared a common vision to have a
Christian education alternative in the Callaway County area. From the
courage and faith of these founding families, Kingdom
Christian Academy was
formed. A Steering Committee was created, which played a large role in
establishing our school as it worked to form our Articles of Incorporation,
and our By-Laws.
On September 5, 1995, Kingdom Christian Academy opened its doors to an
original student body of 42 students from Kindergarten through the Eighth
Grade, which consisted of a variety of Christian denominations. The
classrooms consisted of space donated for use by the First Baptist Church,
located at 701 Court Street, in Fulton. The First Baptist Church
continued to offer building space for the school as it continued to grow for
15 years.
By the summer of 2010, KCA had grown enough that the student body had
exceeded the size of the space donated by First Baptist Church, and
therefore the school board
sought direction from the Lord. Through prayer, faith, and the school
board's leadership the school relocated its operations to Rice Hall, located
on the campuses of Missouri School for Deaf. The newly acquired
facility opened for its doors for the first time as a home for KCA during
the 2010/2011 school year. The facility has better met our needs
allowing for continued growth and successful education. It has, and
remains to be, a blessing to all who cross the threshold of its doors.
