History
Kingdom Christian
Academy's desire to offer preschool services existed since the
inception of our school in 1994. Notation of this desire is
recorded in the organizations original By-Laws. As KCA doubled
in size over the past decade while offering K-8th services, it was
decided it was time to explore the possibility of beginning to
provide preschool services.

n the fall
months of 2006, the School Board established a Preschool
Committee to research the possibilities and study the local
market. Through the research conducted and a number of
community members interviewed, it was determined that there
was a need in our community for an additional preschool.
During the summer of
2007, the Preschool Committee finalized its research and made a
proposal to the School Board. The Board granted approval of
the Committee's recommendation to begin offering preschool classes
for the 2007-2008 school year. Upon consummation, the
Preschool Committee was renamed the "Executive Preschool Committee"
and now oversees the daily operations and finances of the preschool.
The Executive Preschool Committee reports directly to the School
Board. The original members of the Executive Preschool
Committee are Dr. Jennifer Wilson, Mrs. Sheila Bastian, and Mrs.
Shawna Morrison. Our original preschool teacher is Mrs. Trina
Cunningham.
On its first day of
classes, the Preschool had over 30 students enrolled. With the
hard work of the Committee and the blessings of our Lord, we have
deemed the offering of preschool services a "success".
